My name is Alena, and I married a geek. It was made official when we entered and exited the wedding chapel to Star Wars music. Since meeting my husband, my life has now been exposed to Lightsabers and Jedi’s, random pop culture trivia, signed autographed Evil Dead posters, magic tricks, sci-fi conventions, special edition Dark Night DVD’s, and the list goes on.
Now, I can no longer ignore the geeky references and just nod as if I know what he is talking about. I also realized that I would have to learn to love the life sized Yoda in the bedroom.

This blog is a portal into my geeky teachings. Stuff will be chronicled pretty much as it happens and will not take place a long time ago, in a galaxy far away. Since being a geek is not one-size-fits-all, it is my hope to have lots of different geeky things to share. Maybe you are in the same boat or know someone who is.
