“We’re off to see the Dragon, the wonderful dragon of con!” That is what I began chanting on Thursday, as we packed our bags and set out for Dragon*Con in Atlanta. It was my second D*C. The first was last year, where I totally did not understand why my husband Chris was so excited. I just thought, he was being a geek. When we did get there, I just thought it was interesting. We walked around and listened in on a couple of panels from people, who I didn’t really know. I had fun, but it was not life changing for me or anything.
When Chris started talking about D*C again this year, I had a different mindset. I was ready and committed to get my geek on. After all, what better place for a Geek Girl in Training than at the D*C.
My eyes were wide open this year. Three highlights this year were:
1-Participating in the Guinness World Records for the Most Superheroes gathered in one place. Stay tuned for a video about the attempt! Here’s me in my Wonder Woman costume with my friends and film cohorts, Micah Moore and Brian Lee.
2-Interviewing Ashley Eckstein, actress and voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She is also the co-founder of Her Universe
3-Last, but certainly not least, hanging with my Metal War Gear Solid buddies and taking pictures with fans. The cast of Beat Down Boogie’s Modern Warfare 2 meets Metal Gear Solid
